Social Marketing Tools: Why Skype Is Essential
Today, I want to talk about one of my best friends, one of many social marketing tools and this one is called Skype. Now mind you, there are many social marketing tools, but Skype is perhaps the most personal of all social marketing tools, as personal as a phone call and a face to face meeting.

Over the past 4 years, I have found most of my best time spent was listening to people directly on Skype. People will open up to you and let on what is really going on in their business in many ways, but it is done in real time through chat or voice. So why is this important?
Here is a list of why Skype is one of the most important social marketing tools in your arsenal.
- Skype allows you to quickly qualify who is serious.
- It tells you how much people know so you can start to paint a picture.
- It allows you to find the problems people have with their business.
- It allows you to follow up and build that relationship and trust so you can ultimately convert more sales.
Two MOST Important Social Marketing Tools That You Will Need!
- An autoresponder. If your website ever goes down, you can always still email your list with offers and value.
- Communcation. Your phone, Skype, Facebook and Google accounts will enable you to keep constant communication going.
So we get into what these things are. An autoresponder as a social tool allows you to email your subscriber list in a drop of a hat with offers or free trainings to keep them engaged. If for some reason, your hosting account should go down or your blogs and sites get hacked which is not likely if you protect them, you will always have your list. You capture names with a web form linked to an autoresponder service where your list is stored. It is the way that you can write your meal ticket after time spent building up a list of loyal subscribers who want to know what you know and what to get where you are.
Communication is important, perhaps even more important than you can imagine. Social marketing tools don’t just limit themselves to Facebook, Google+, Pinterest, Twitter and YouTube. Your phone and Skype are the most personal social marketing tools in your arsenal.
Your phone is used for speaking and text messages as is Skype. One of the most annoying things to many people is to continue typing and typing back and forth when they could cut to the chase and just talk to each other. Here is where Skype is unique. Imagine this. You meet somebody for the first time and you strike up a conversation and you find a problem that somebody has.
Stop for one second and imagine just one thing!
You share your screen with that individual and show that individual how you solved that same problem for yourself in real time, do you think that you would get more respect in an instant from that person without even trying to sell something? How much would that boost your business? Social marketing tools like Skype allow you to be completely social, less stressful and more content oriented in real time. It is quite amazing and to allow people to see what you are doing is extremely powerful for branding.
Go to Skype.com. It is a free tool. Install it and set up an account.
How To Put Your Social Marketing Tools Together In Three Easy Steps
- Share valuable content on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and any other social gathering places that you can find.
- Get the ice broken by likes and shares of the value that you offer.
- Communicate. The best way as stressed above is Skype for all the helpful features.
This is the magical blueprint for success in the network marketing industry and is really simple to implement if you decide to be serious and build it.
